Rise Above the Mud: A Call to Set-Apart Living
Presented by House of Instruction | Branson, MO

In a world clouded by confusion, compromise, and spiritual hunger, we are called to rise, like the water lily, out of the mud and into the light.

This video is our statement of faith. A reflection of who we are, what we believe, and how we walk in the ways of YHUH, our Creator. At the House of Instruction, we strive to live out His truth with courage, compassion, and conviction… feeding the hungry, reading the Word, and leading others toward restoration.

We Trust in:

1) Yah’s Sovereignty and the Living Word
We believe in the one true Creator the Alahym of Avraham, Yitschaq, and Ya’aqob, revealed in the ancient Scriptures as YHUH (spoken by many as Yahuah, a pronunciation preserved in the names of prophets like Yeshayahu, Yirmeyahu, and Eliyahu, and echoed in the names of disciples and early believers, such as Mattithyahu). He reigns sovereign over all creation. His Name is more than just a title, it is a declaration of His power, presence, and promises. In the original Paleo-Hebrew Scriptures, His Name carries deep meaning and significance; yet over time, translations have replaced or obscured it. Here, we seek to honor and restore His Name as we believe it was spoken and written by the prophets and by the Messiah Himself. (Exodus 3:15, Isaiah 42:8, Isaiah 52:5-6, Jeremiah 23:26-27, Joel 2:32, Malachi 2:1-9, Malachi 3:16-18, Psalm 68:4, Psalm 74:18, Psalm 83:18, Psalms 91:14-16, Psalm 138:2, Proverbs 30:4-6, John 17:5-12, Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 2:11-12, Revelation 14:1)

His Word is living and active, given to guide, correct, and sanctify His people. Yahusha, the Word made flesh, embodies the fullness of truth and grace, leading us in obedience to YHUH’s will. (Deuteronomy 6:4, John 1:1-14; John 14:23-24, John 17:17-19, Hebrews 4:12)

2) The Sacred Calendar and Appointed Times
We uphold YHUH’s creation calendar, marked by the sun, moon, and stars, as stated in Genesis 1:14-16. This calendar directs us to observe His appointed times, including the Sabbath, New Moon days, and annual feasts. These times are sacred, set apart for worship, reflection, and renewal. (Genesis 1:14-16, Leviticus 23:1-2, Numbers 10:10, Isaiah 66:22-23, Psalm 104:19, Hebrews 4:9-10, The Writings of Abraham 27/29:1)

3) Scripture as the Ultimate Authority
We affirm that all teachings, traditions, and practices must align with the Torah, Prophets, and Writings, as these Scriptures contain the fullness of YHUH's instructions. The truth is revealed through the guidance of His Spirit, the Ruach HaQodesh, and confirmed by two or more Scriptural witnesses. (Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 19:15, Isaiah 8:20, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 16:13)

4) Living a Set-Apart Life
We are called to live in set-apartness and obedience, walking in YHUH’s commandments with joy and reverence. This includes rejecting idolatry, striving for purity, and reflecting His love and righteousness in our actions. By walking in His ways, we become a light to others and reveal His covenant promise. (Leviticus 19:2, Leviticus 20:26, Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Matthew 5:14-18, Romans 12:1-2, 1 Peter 1:15-16)

5) The Role of Worship and Community
Worship is central to our faith, expressed in spirit and truth through prayer, fasting, music, and fellowship. Our community gathers to study YHUH's Word, share meals, and support one another, fostering an environment where faith can thrive and spiritual growth is nurtured. (Isaiah 58:6-7, Psalm 95:1-11, Psalm 100:1-2, John 4:23-24, Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25)

6) Deliverance from the Bondage of Sin
We believe in the power of YHUH’s deliverance, breaking the chains of sin and setting His people free from bondage to walk in righteousness. Through Yahusha’s sacrifice, by which His blood cleanses and redeems us, and the guidance of His Spirit, we are empowered to overcome sin and live in obedience to His commandments. This deliverance reflects His mercy and faithfulness to those who fear Him and keep His commandments, leading us to walk in the fullness of His will for our lives. (Isaiah 1:18-18, Isaiah 61:1-2, Ezekiel 36:26-27, Psalm 103:11-13, Luke 4:18, John 8:34-36, Acts 2:42-47, Romans 6:22-23, Titus 2:11-14, James 4:7)

7) The Restoration of All Things
We believe and anticipate the fulfillment of YHUH’s promise, when there will be no more night, and His people will reign forever under His glorious light. We remain steadfast in seeking and sharing His truth during this time of refinement, as we await the fullness of His eternal plan to be revealed. This refinement is both spiritual and physical, reflecting His mercy and faithfulness to those who fear Him and keep His commandments. (Isaiah 60:19-20, Malachi 3:2-3, Psalm 103:17-18, Acts 3:19-26, Revelation 22:3-5)
